This sculpture fundamentally explores our allotment of space and time on this fragile world. What we leave behind and what is reclaimed by nature in our absence. I grew up visiting my mother in her Allotment plot where she battled nature to her will, occasionally winning. Grandpas greenhouse is a place of legend and I can’t smell tomato plants without being transported back there. The derelict buildings where weeds flourish are a common sight across the cityscape. They all have influence on this sculpture. Build, tend, nurture, pass along.
